Program Overview :
Backpacking in the Himalaya offers a charming and a challenging experience at the same time. One is overawed by the ruggedness and the natural beauty of the mountains.
For young adults the overall experience at the “Himalayan Odyssey” has the power to change the perception of life and bring about a positive change towards personal growth and success.
This backpack experience with Outward Bound could be the best opportunity for them to explore the life skills while they enjoy the mountains and the nature around.
More importantly it also offers a unique opportunity to learn the group dynamics when they work together for the success of the expedition. It is also an opportunity to explore one’s own capabilities and competencies at different levels.
The expedition engages a limited number of participants, so as to maximize the learning’ through fruitful interactions amongst all the participants. The Outward Bound staffs facilitate the experience and the learning in a unique way.
For adults in their forties and early fifties, this could be more of a leisure experience, backpacking with a difference. Walk at your own pace, enjoy nature & photography, relax, and share your life’s experience, meditate and possibly write poetry.

Program Description :
This is a regular expedition wherein you will be trekking daily for a few hours covering a distance from four to eight kms and also gaining height gradually.
Depending on the exact venue you will be trekking up to a height of around 13 to 14 thousand feet.
Your support team will assist you in camping, carrying a part of your load as you climb.
The difficulty level will be easy to moderately tough and you will be required to prepare yourself for the physical exertion.
